Question:
Is it too early to consider abdomnioplasty at 8 mos post op?
I am currently almost 8 months post op, and already at goal weight. I am hating looking in the mirror at the hanging skin. In clothing I feel okay, but I really want to go ahead with the plastic surgery of breast lift and tummy tuck, and want to know if others have done this so early after having the surgery? — sheri H. out. if your at goal you should be fine...

What most advise is to wait until you are within 20 pounds of goal (your
there now) and are able to sustain the weight past 1 year and preferably to
18 months post-op. Reason being, at just 8 months post, you may continue to
lose or reshape what is there. The worse thing you can do is to have
everything tightened and then continue to lose more which may cause more
drooping or saggy skin after the fact. I'd wait until at least a year
before doing so.

I had my abdominoplasty at 9 months post-op. I was 10 pounds from my goal
weight and it was the BEST decision I made to have it done then. I felt
MISERABLE about myself when I would look in the mirror and see all of that
nasty hanging skin. Since surgery, my self esteem is a 1000% better. It
truly makes all the difference in the world.
