Oh yea, I forgot to say that I have lost around 83# now at this point, don't get me wrong though i am very happry about that so far, and I am trying to eat all of the right things, but my weight just seems to be slowing down and I need to lose at least another 100# to be at goal! I am 4 1/2 months post op. I have lost 82 pounds. I thought it should be more. However, when I really think about it, I have never lost that much in this short of time. My weekly loss is 2-3 pounds. I too am like you. Sometimes I feel like I never get full other times a couple bites fills me. Don't know why. Wish I did. I believe you are doing great. And with that, it means that I have to believe I am also doing great. Keep up the good work. Linda 372/290 (yeah!!!!)

That's what happens when I get distracted at the keyboard! I am at 179, not 279!!! My earlier post would indicate that I actually GAINED 33 pounds--thank goodness, not true!

I am five months out and have lost 56 pounds. I started at 228.6 so i didn't expect to lose the massive amts some others on here have. I have also had one plateau after another starting at two weeks out. I went for a month and didn't lose anything. WHEW!!!!!!

4 months out and down 108 pounds. Had my surgery a day after Tony's and was a head of him for a while but damn he's doing great! But then again I do eat some carbs now and then - love my Kettle Corn and Quaker Quakes :) I'm 5'11" and 405 pounds day before surgery. <p>Take Care, Be Well, Be Happy!

I am 5 months out (two days ago) and I have lost 95. I started out at 325. I have been at the same 95 pounds for about a week now. Very frustrating. I had RNY on Jan. 24, 2003.

I am almost 5 months out (open RNY) and have lost just about 69 pounds - down to 192 from 260.5. Feeling great! I'm currently losing at a rate of about 2 pounds a week, sometimes 3. I'm very happy with this loss, starting as a "lightweight". I would love to lose another 55 pounds, but I will also be very happy with another 25 pounds. Heck, if I stopped losing now, I would still consider this surgery a success, as I FEEL SO MUCH HEALTHIER! I generally eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day, and get between 70 and 100 g of protein per day.

I am 5 mos today and have lost 90lbs. My calorie intake is between 600-800. And I exerise 5 days a week at curves and walk 2 miles a day 7 days a week. The funiest part is when people I know dont reconize me it happens often. 28/30 18/20. You are doing a good job keep it up. 312/222/145

I'm just 5 months out (actually on the 30th). Started at 5'4"-250 lbs. I'm still 5'4", and weigh 168 lbs. Doctor's goal for me is 130 lbs. But I'd be ok with 135-140. Have lost 82 lbs.

At 5 mos. out, I was down 177 pounds but that was after dropping 80 the first month-- not typical results.

I would love to know what percentage of their weight that people have lost at 5 months as well. It would be interesting to know if the percents were more similar than the pounds lost. I am 5 months out and have lost 83 pounds and that is 70% of my excess weight gone!
