Question:
How long should I wait before calling the psychologist office for his results?`
I went to see the psychologist today for my evaluation and he said pending that darn 567 question test he felt I was psychologically prepared for surgery. Now my question is are psychologist as timely as regular doctors?? — Sonya P. (posted on June 19, 2003)

I don't have any experience with the 500+ series of questions you said they
needed to review but my psychiatrist told me he would write my
recommendation letter within a week of my visit. I have been seeing this
same doctor for almost 2 years now so he said he had most of my information
from my file (I am O.C.D. and on medication to control systoms). I only
spoke with him for about 15 minutes and my letter was prepared about 5-7
days after we met. I would contact the office you went through in about 1-2
weeks to see if they are done yet.

I waited exactly one week from the day of my visit. I then proceeded to
call them twice a week. Until I finaly got answer. My visit was on 5.12.03
and they didn't have an anwer for me until 6.9.03. I let them know that I
would be calling back to check the status. I wasn't rude, but I did let
them know that it was very important for me to keep track of when the
results were sent so I could then keep tabs with the busy surgeons office.
Hope this helps! :)

It took about two weeks for the results of the 567 test to get to my psch
doctor. I do not know if your test had to be sent out or not. I would
call and find out how long before they hear anything, they would have a
better idea. Hope this helps
