Seeking A WLS Surgeon In The Gastonia/Charlotte Area Who Accepts Medicaid

I am in need of a doctor that will take medicaid to perform bariatric surgery.I am in the Gastonia/Charlotte area. I was refered to the Charlotte Surgical Group by my primary doctor, but was later informed by the surgical group that they no longer take medicaid patients. HI! I'm also from NC.I don't know of any off hand but have you tried "going local" on this site. Go to insurers and then look under medicaid you can find the doctors that take it but make sure to call them alot of them are not taking medicaid anymore. I know Dr Mitchell in Pinhurst takes it. Good luck on your journey! I havent had surgery yet, I'm going through Vocational Rehabilitation (couldnt get medicaid) best wishes
