Question:
Attn! Pacific Bariatric Post ops... Need diet help.
I am just now turning 4 weeks post op. I am wondering what I should be eating now. Is there anyone out there who has had surgery at pacific bariatric that can give me a list of what they're eating now. — AliciasMommy (posted on June 11, 2003)

My surgery date was 4/4/03 with Dr. Mary. At 4 weeks I was eating low fat
cheese--Jarlsberg lite, American cheese, etc;hard boiled egg white (I hate
scrambled eggs), shrimp, canned tuna, cream of wheat, oatmeal, nonfat milk.
I could have eaten (but hate) yogurt, refried beans, tofu, cottage cheese.
Also must include two scoops of the ProComplex shake a day--for the rest
of your life. For a treat I had sugar free Jello, sugar free popsicles,
Crystal lite, bouillion, pea soup. Hope this helps. How are you doing?

Didn't they provide you with the detailed protocol? You should stick to it.
I do have one piece of advice -- if you hate Pro Complex, and won't use it,
get a different protein, but for goodness sake get protein in every day. I
suggest you go to www.vitalady.com and check out her selection -- you can
get samples of all the proteins she sells, and she is one of us, so only
carries things that are WLS friendly.
The protocol has changed somewhat since I had my surgery at Pacific
Bariatrics, but at 4 weeks I believe you should be eating moist chicken
(dark meat is moister than white), eggs, hard cheeses chewed well, and
fish.
