I have. Try the natural way first. 128 oz water per day. and fiber (approx
28 gms per day)

You also need to walk . Ask your DR what you can eat. Good Lux

I have and I am now eating 1/4 of fiber one cereal everyday, and it is
working great, and fills you up also.

Many post-ops experience constipation, and there are drugs that you can get
from your doctor to help if it is serious. However, if not too serious,
try natural methods like prune juice. For me, as long as I eat a few cups
of popcorn a few times a week I stay regular. Something else that I
discovered recently, cooked green peppers have the same effect!

This has been a real challenge for me! I finally, after much trial an
error, found a solution my system likes. I eat 1/2 cup of Fiber One cereal
each day. It has 14 grams of fiber. I also make sure to drink more than
64 oz of liquid each day. Best wishes in finding your solution! Until I
found the solution for me, I was miserable. I even gained weight from the
bloating etc. Hang in there.

I had the worst constipation of my life. I now drink prune juice every day
to avoid any problems in the future. So far (5 weeks) it has worked.

Someone else mentioned eating sugar free candy. Well, I like the
Baskin-Robbins chocolate mint hard candies. I think 5 of them is 20
calories. What a way to go! (Literally!)

Make sure you drink your amount of required fluids. Also, keep moving,
such as walking. When I have to, I'll take Ducolax tablets (laxative).
This is what the hospital suggested before I was discharged. Good luck.

Hi! I'm beginning to have that problem despite the fact that I'm drinking
water and taking in fiber. I really don't understand what's going on or
why, but it's quite uncomfortable. I'd like to see how others reply to your
question, Judith. Please let me know when you find out what else we can do.
Hopefully we'll get things working as we should. Best to ya!
