Will the numbess in my feet from type II diabetes go away?

Hi. My doctor has told me that the nerve damage from diabetes CAN get better when your blood sugars are in good control. I'm still pre-op, but that's something I'm looking forward to. My sugars are in the best control of my life, but I still have the numbness and pain. I have also heard that nerves regrow VERY slowly, so I guess we'll just have to wait. Best of luck to you.
