Hi, Gary - I suspect that it will be like it is with so many foods - trial
and error. If it's any help, I can eat salsa made with raw onions in small
amounts and very mild! I use it with scrambled eggs. On the other hand, I
have some problems with raw peppers. If you are getting ready to try
onions, I suggest you saute` them until they are really tender!!! Let us
know how you do!

I think everything comes in time. For months I could not tolerate spicy
food which I LOVE!! Now, 10mos post-op, I do OK with everything. Take it
slow and remember what doesn't work for you today may work a couple weeks
later. Follow your Doc's advice and take it slow and enjoy the weight loss!

I ate onions chopped up in a bite of tuna salad at three weeks out and
thought i was gonna die! Now at six weeks, I can eat them and am looking
forward to my green onions in a little salad this summer.

So far, at 3 months out, the only food I have problems with is
onions...they give me heartburn, very uncomfortable. Cooked onions seem
ok.
