Question:
I need a list of things I might need in the hospital.

hey, there is alot of info in the library on this. i even asked the question myself. i went through all the old posts and wrote down all the things i might need. good luck to ya!

While in the hosptial bring a fan, chapstick (trust me summer or winter ull need it!), slippers, and clothes to go home in. I packed so much crap with me and I didnt even use it at all I only used those 3 things...ooo and a Lufa (sp) for when you take a shower there. At home...elastic waste/draw string loose pants! Big shirts!

I am pre-op, so I can not tell you what I had at the hospital because, I haven't yet, but, Take a look at Sharon Neva and Marcia McDonald's profiles, they are both very helpful. Hope this helps.

Things for when you get home: Make sure you have a phone nearby where ever you "camp out". A real pain getting up to answer it and so hard to ignore :>) make sure your batteries are good in the TV remote. Get a good book you can mostly ignore...but have comfort knowing it's there. A basket with some basics are nice to keep near your camping spot - mine had a brush, Blistex lip cream, wet wipes, tissues, my liquid pain meds, paper and pen (to write down stuff for people to-do or get at the store - amazing how quick your memory goes for a while following a surgery.), a TV Guide, lotion, bottled water (but then I prefered mine room temp) and small snacks.
