Question:
Does this mean I have H. Pylori?

I had my EGD performed today. My surgeon said things look good, but I have gastritis. I understand this is an inflammation of the stomach lining, but does this mean that I have the H.pylori?    — Jaime H. (posted on March 5, 2003)

No you don't have H.Pylori. I went through the testing for H.pylori and then having an upper GI to find out is was just gastritis in January. My doctor put me on Omerpazole at bed time beside the Prilosec I was already on in the morning for acid reflux. You just have to much stomach acid that is irritating your stomach lining. In a couple of weeks my stomach was back to normal. Hope this helps.
