Question:
Where do I get the Real Meals Recipes?

I just got my box of Real Meals. I had seen someone post a list of recipes to use with them that looked great but I din't save them. Does anyone have a copy? — Lynn S. (posted on February 26, 2003)

Linda Almonte posts this website http://www.protein-solution.com as one for Real Meals. Once you enter that site, you will see an area that says, 'Real Meal Recipes'. Click on that...and there you have it. Hope this helps.

Hi, I was just wondering your opinion on the product, I just received my Real Meals 7 day supply in choc. flavor, I had heard so many good comments about it here, on the board and Q and A, but I was really dissapointed, I think the taste is just way too sweet, and I am just going to end up throwing it away. I did try it with banana and strawberries, I just cant take the taste. Just wondered what you thought. Best of luck in your journey.

On the protein-solution.com website there is a button for recipes. I copied and pasted them to word to keep a copy at home. I love the cookies and cream. Brenda - I read your profile, and I see that you are a new post op. When I was first post op everything tasted to sweet too, it will take awhile for your tastes to go back to normal, but they will. I wouldn't throw it out, try it again in a couple of weeks. It's funny one week I would hate something the next I would like it again. I hated eggs for months then all of a sudden one day I liked it again. Same with coffee it tasted 100 times stronger to me for a long time then one day it tasted right again.

Just giving my 2cents here: I've been using RealMeals...however when I first tried them with the amount of water they recommended...it was WAY to sweet!! I couldn't believe people were saying these things were good! But, what I do now is instead of using 4oz i use about 10-12ozs. Makes it nice and smooth and alot like chocolate milk now. Quite tasty! Try doing that...just add more water to it. Now, it's by far the best tasting protein drink I've ever tried! Good luck!!

For more protein recipes that are not brand-specific, have a look at the Yahoo OSSG (Obesity Surgery Support Group) for "Protein Perverts" ;), at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OSSG-Protein/?yguid=106670120
