I know this does not answer your question, but I was 5' 3", and 270
lbs. I am 10 days post op from a tummy tuck and what a difference!!! If
you'd like to see pics, just email me @ [email protected] I needed
one bad! Years of yo yo dieting, and 3 large babies deliverd C-Section.

I am now 7 months post-op and have lost 100 pounds. I was just about the
same height and weight that you are and NO I will never need a tummy tuck.
The reason is quiet simple, as you must exercise from day one and continue.
I have had one child who was born at the 6 and 1/2 month, had dieted for
the last umpteen years. NO, not everyone needs cosmetic/plastic surgery.
Best to you and drink that water!

I am 5'7" and started at 260. I'm down to 155 so far...eight months
out. I don't plan on having a tummy tuck. The surgeon doesn't think I
need one either.

There are some genetically superior people who will lose over 100 pounds
and not need a TT. They will tell you it's because they excersized and
drank their water, but they were just blessed w/ good skin. The rest of us
(who also excersized like mad and drank our water) will need a little help.

I'm with Linda on this, I believe genetics and age play a big role. I
started out taller than you (still am, I guess :P), and I've exercised my
butt off in the 8+ months since surgery. But my tummy just keeps on
keepin' on (and then some, since everything else got smaller or
disappeared, except for the skin it used to be in). And I did the protein
shake thing all along; still do. But the tummy still remains. I don't
know if I'll get a TT, 'cause I'm not crazy about more surgery and I'm sure
my insurance co. won't cover it, but I sure could use one!
