Hi, Karen. I too have LOTS of burping going on. I eat and drink slowly, so I doubt that's the problem. I burp with water. What is so funny here is my burps are like a man's...and who would think with this little tummy? ;)

Karen, I have a lot of burping whenever I eat or drink anything. I have heard from others further out than me (only 5 weeks) that it will go away eventually. I get hiccups often after eating too. I'm told that's temporary too.

I'm 16 months out and I burp with liquids. Well I only drink water so with water. Its weird, I too burp like a man, sometimes, who just downed a whole beer and all I took was a sip of water!

In my case, it's my stomach telling me "I'm full" and to stop eating and let the food digest. I'm 18 months out and it will do that whether I eat or drink. Mine is mostly hiccups.

Hello, I am about 2.5 months post-op..at first I hiccuped then burped immediately after...alot!!!! it drove me nuts..now only sometimes do I get it..I heard its when you eat to fast..mine does it for different reasons..never the same..sometimes to fast..or almost full..or empty stomach..who knows why Esmerelda does what she does to me?? ( figured I'd name that little pouch cause I hate the word pouch not a kangaroo...so esmerelda sounds tempermental don't you think?)

I'm a burper too. I started burping when I got back in my room after surgery. Nurses encouraged me to try to get it to come out the other end! Ha ha Nine months later...I'm still a burper- like a man! I've given up trying to be graceful about it. Usually if I eat too quickly I need to burp...or if I eat too much burping gives me relief.

Hi! I'm am completely opposite from all of you. I CAN'T burp and I really think it would make me feel better sometimes. I did before I had my surgery and now nada. You don't know what I would do for one good 'man belch'!
