Question:
Why do my muscles ache?
Hi. I am 10 months post op and down about 105 lbs. I am having trouble with body aches. I take my vitamins and calcium daily but not wanting to eat too much latley. Could it be a problem from the surgery or jus the flu or something. I'm getting worried now. I feel like I have to flex my muscles all the time to make them quit aching. I know it sounds weird but it's the truth. Thanks all. — Kerry H. (posted on January 18, 2003)

Kerri,
Are you drinking enough fluids? Your sodium or potassium may be low you may
be suffering from dehydration are there any other symptoms like decreased
urination or dry scaly skin?

What KIND of calcium? Citrate? And as someone else said, LOTS of fluids? If
you said yes to both, please see your doc next week, OK?

Bananna's do the trick for me... especially when I get muscle cramps...
it's like I can feel them comin... so I try to eat one as soon as I feel
like that. Normally 3 - 4 a week does it for me.
