Question:
How much sugar should a normal person consume per day?
Does anyone know how much sugar, protein etc. that a normal person, who hasn't had WLS, should consume in one day? Or where I would be able to locate this information? Thanks for your time. :) — Jennifer M. (posted on January 6, 2003)

You might find something like that on the ADA website. I am a type II
diabetic, and I know they have alot of information about that. Now if you
are talking about a normal person after WLS, I can not help. hope this
helps

I believe the USDA is recommending about 300 g. of carbs per day for women
and up to 400 g. for men. Of course, post-WLS, you'll find that you can
only consume about 30-40 g. per day without dumping. This does get better
with time, but you will never get back up to the 300 g. (thank God!).
