I don't know the nutritional value of it but I love it. I ate a lot of it
when I was newly post-op and my surgeon said it was good for me. The tofu
has a lot of protein. I also know of other post-ops who found it
particularly satisfying and their doctors approved of it too. So I don't
think it will hurt you at all.

Having foods that taste good is the secret to weight loss. Bland can
become very boring. I love hot & sour. It tastes good, has a lot of
protein. and makes me feel good too.
The only negative for me is the salt. It can cause a bit of a weight gain
from fluid retention. I pay no attention, because I know it will adjust
the next day. But for those who are slaves to the scale, this can be a
problem.

What and the heck would provide the protein? My gut reaction was worthless
for protein but obviously I was wrong. I do have egg drop soup on my list
of foods I can eat with protein. So I will likely become a EDS addict as I
go through withdrawal from my chinese food gluttony.

Ha! I never even had Hot and Sour soup in my life, before surgery and now
I crave it often. It tastes so yummy and it all that tofu in there
provides a lot of protein.

Here's a good site to go for recipes and/or nutritional information. Hope
that helps!
