Hello,
You wont need much to take to the hospital with you. They will have very
comfortable gowns for you and will provide those sock/slippers. They gave
me a toiletry bag with the essentials- toothbrush, toothpaste etc. You will
be resting a lot after the surgery. Maybe a book or magazine would work for
you. You may want to have a light robe for when you are off the bed and do
lots of walking. I am sure you will be home in 2-3 days and do fine. I had
LAP-RNY on Tuesday, October 8, 2002 and was out of the hospital by Thursday
afternoon. Good luck to you. Down 60 since then.

brought some toothpaste, a brush, some of my favorite magazines and baby
lotion which i di use alot. id suggest bringing a phone card and some
chapstick definetly. i got really bad dry lips before leaving the hosptial
and needed it for some time after as well. also maybe bring a nice baggy t
shirt and sweats so nothings clingy to your incisions :)

Good luck on your upcoming surgery. I would take the essentials. I
suggest taking whatever form of feminine products that you use. I was not
prepared and had to use the hospitals. I wasn't due to have my period for
a couple weeks, but the surgery caused it to start.
