Question:
I need to find a PCP in the Aetna QPOS network in Anne Arundel County / Balt. area...

I am working so hard to get the ins. that I need to get WLS. I had narrowed it down to BCBS Carefirst PPN/ PPO & Aetna QPOS. After spending the whole morning on the phone researching... I believe I am leaning toward Aetna QPOS (or HMO) Small Employer/self employed individual. Now, my delemia... I have a Dr & psychiatrist ( out of network ) that are all for the surgery for me. However, I would love some info on PCP providers in network. I live in Glen Burnie, MD. Please let me know if you know of any Dr.'s in my area that will refer me for WLS. My BMI is 42 & I have comorbidities. I must get this application in the mail before the end of Dec. during open enrollment. Please write if you have any suggestions on PCP providers. Thanks a lot! Just wanted to say I had Aetna QPOS, but I went out of town to an in-network facility. I paid a total of, are you eady??? $100 for my entire hospital stay! I thought it would all be out of network so never had a PCP referral either. DOn't know if that will happen with you or not, but thought I should pass it on. Best wishes and good luck!
