Question:
I am Four Days from having my Tummy Tuck
and I have severe numbness. I know some numbness is normal, but it sort of came on all of a sudden and is almost my entire lower stomach. Is this normal? — Lisa N M. (posted on December 16, 2002)

Yes, it is normal. I am almost 2 months post-op and I still have numbness.
Hang in there, it does get better

I have had a c-section and much more recently a Tummy tuck. I was very numb
with both. I still have some areas that have little feeling and I had the
tt July 1 of this year. So I would say the numbness is completly normal and
probably a benefit since I seemed to have very little pain with my
abdominoplasty.

I had my tt three weeks ago and my lower pelvic region, along with my
stomach, is all numb. My understanding is that the numbness may last as
long as six months. It feels strange. It is totally normal.

I had my tt done in august and still have numbness in the center of my
stomach below my belly button. I know someone who had it done and didn't
get the feeling back completely until she was a year post-op.
