Question:
Is this considered a co-morbid condition?
GERD/ Acid Reflux. Is this considered a comorbid condition that may qualify a person for surgery if their BMI is between 35-40? Say this person also has asthma?? What do ya think? — Nickie C. (posted on December 13, 2002)

As far as I know GERD is....and if you have asthma also then I would say
those qualify, but it's up to your insurance company. They all have certain
standards you have to meet. Check your insurance company.
