I have sunflower seeds all the time in my salads. I was told after 4 months
I could eat whatever I could tolerate and I tolerate nuts and seeds well.
You just have to remember to chew, chew, chew. I am 7.5 months out from
open RNY. I am down 70 lbs. I'm a happy girl.

I eat sunflower seeds all the time. I take some to work and when I feel
the urge to munch I use them. It takes so long to eat very many of them
when you have to crack them open that I am not eating that many. Just
remember to include them in your daily total for calories and the such.

Yessssssss! And good for us! But of course, make a conscious effort to
chew. They taste even BETTER well chewed, too. Yum.

I have been addicted to sunflower seeds since I had the surgery. Don't ask
me why but I have heard a lot of post ops say the same thing. I crave
them. They are a good source of protein.

OMG!!!! I am so HAPPY!!! I have missed the sunflower seeds more than
anything since surgery! I didn't think we would tolerate them! I have
been addicted to them since I used them as a tool to stop smoking 6 years
ago. I'm going to run out today and get some! YIPPEE!!!!
