Question:
Chewable Calcium- not chewable pills

There are chewable calcium citrate wafers. They are citrus flavor and tolerable. They are about the size of a quarter and maybe 1/4 inch thick. Bought mine from swansonvitamins.com. Good luck to you!

I haven't been successful finding Viactiv-style calcium citrate (although I sure wish I could!!!). I used the Twinlabs wafers for a while but didn't care for them. They are so dry! I now use a liquid calcium citrate that I found at www.vitaminworld.com. It comes in several flavors. The blueberry and lemon custard are good. I just ordered the strawberry but haven't tried it yet. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is not portable because it has to be refrigerated.

I am taking the Twinlab calcium citrate right now. I had ordered the citrate capsules from Vitalady, but the first time I took one (around 2 months post-op) It got stuck and I thought I was gonna die! It took 2 days to feel better. That's why I like the Twinlab chewables. Also, they have a sweet/tart taste and when I eat them after my lunch and supper, it kind of satisfies the sweet tooth and I am not looking for dessert. As for them being dry, well they are, but I just crunch them up, and suck on them for a minute or so and then finish chewing. I got them at vitacost.com, $8.00 for a bottle of 60.

Maria, I take Citracal Liquidtabs...I have a hard time swallowing pills. These are citrate calcium and dissolve in water....They are orangey. Kinda remind me of the tate of TANG! Good Luck!

Maria, I take Spring Valley Chewable Calcium for Women. It is a 500-D-K Supplement and tastes delicious. I love carmel square candy and this taste just like it except it is calcium. There are 60 chews in one tub and I think it cost about 4.99 (I really can't remember). Try this one, I am sure that you will enjoy it. I sometimes look forward to eating one because it taste so good. Good luck to you.
