Actually, if you have even one ovary you can blame it on that. :)If you
have one or both ovaries, you can still be releasing eggs. I had a
hysterectomy in 1995 but I still have my right ovary. I still cycle every
4-6 weeks and I can track a sudden increase in wanting to eat to that. If
you've been through menopause that probably isn't it though. :) It could
just be your appetite starting to return. Mine started coming back about 2
months post-op. It would stay steady at that place for 2 months or so then
I'd have an increase in appetite again. The increase can be good though.
You'll need to start increasing your calories or you'll hit starvation mode
and a plateau. Track your food at fitday.com or some other way and you'll
see you probably aren't eating all that much. Try to make sure you're
eating protein first because it will help you stay full longer.

perfectly normal for this time period post-op. Many many go thru this
sometime between 2 weeks and 6 months. Some go thru it over and over
again, others once or twice for a few weeks at a time. I agree with the
previous poster, eat protein! The denser the food, the better it will fill
you up and stick with you. Fluff foods go thru quick and make you want
more (fluff being breads and starchy/sugary foods like potatoes, corn,
carrots, etc.)
