Gail, don't worry, it will pick up again. They say your body naturally
stops for a while at various weights we were at throughout out lives. I
know this held true for me. I'm 9 months post op and have lost 110 pounds.
I'm only 14 pounds from goal. I was stuck at 213 and 197 for weeks
because that's where I was at for years. Your body will break through. I
was just on a plateau for 3 weeks and suddenly lost 10 pounds in a week
(I'm down to only losing 1-2 pounds a week now). Don't get discouraged -
you're doing great and its worth it, your body may just need a short break.

Yes, totally normal. I had my first of MANY plateaus at 3 weeks out and I
plateaued every month from then on out. I still have managed to lose 125lbs
in a year. Don't worry, your body is just playing 'catch up' and is
adjusting to the rapid weight loss. One day you will weigh yourself and you
will have dropped some lbs. In the meantime, measure yourself! I'll bet
your dropping inches like crazy! And, stay away from the scale for awhile!
You'll drive yourself nuts!! Good luck!

I have had a couple plateaus. What seems to happen is I lose 15-20 pounds
in a couple weeks, then I don't lose for several. Last time I was on a
plateau I increased my water intake to about 100 oz per day and started
measuring my food carefully again. I dropped 8 pounds the next week. Good
luck and know that we are going through this with you.
