Question:
To ALL of Dr. Roll's patients in Fairfax...........

Could someone please tell me what he does at the hospital AFTER surgery test wise? Leak tests? Or any at all? I am scheduled for surgery 12/5 and would like to know exactly what happens afterwards... .thanks a bunch!    — chatterbox213704 (posted on October 30, 2002)

Hi Kimberly- I had my surgery w/ Dr. Roll on Oct. 1 and after the surgery he comes to visit you to see how you are doing and checks your staples.When he comes to take the tape off your bandage over the staples he just RIPS it right off, so be prepared. It does hurt, like a band-aid. He doesn't do it to be mean, it's just the way he does it. I think he is a nice man and really cares about you. He also tells you how things went, since the last time you see him you are on drugs. I had my gallbladder out along with the GB and he told me that it did test diseased. He'll tell you when you can leave and then to come see him in a week to get the staples out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. No leak test (thank God! - My mother went through it with her surgeon and I had to watch her suffer through the torture). I had surgery on June 21, 2001, and Dr. Roll came in the next day to see how I was doing and to remove my NG tube. He checked in every day after that just to make sure I was all right. No tests, no problems. :)
