Question:
Long term post-op from
I would like to hear from someone who is long term from the "Sapala-Wood Micropouch" open RNY. I am only a few weeks post-op and would like to know if I will ever be able to eat more tham a few bites of food since our pouch is extra small and will not stretch? — Donna B. YES YOU WILL BE ABLE TO EAT MORE ONCE THE SWALLEN OF THE POUCH GOES DOWN
WHICH TAKES ABOUT 2 MOS MAYBE. NOT A WHOLE LOT LIKE A NORMAL PERSON DOES
BUT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO EAT A WHOLE STOUFFERS DINNER OR LEAN STOUFFERS
DINNER YOU WILL FEEL WHEN YOU SHOULD STOP EATING BECAUSE YOU GET LIKE A
GIRGLE SOUND AND YOU JUST KNOW YOU BETTER STOP EATING OR YOU WILL GET SICK.
IF YOU WANT TO WRITE TO ME PLEASE FEEL FREE TO THANKS ROSEMARY

Ohhh I know how you feel...... two bites of scrambled egg and I was FULL!!!
I just knew I was gonna die! Who can live with a 'grape' sized stomach.
Gheesh and I paid someone to do this to me! Well, Now some times I worry
that I may eat too much....... it does get better, the previous poster was
right. But..... I know the feeling you have.... been there, done that.
Give it a few weeks, and you'll be doing just fine. (14 months out, and
117 lbs gone. Sapala - Wood Micropouch.)
