Question:
If insurance approves me to see a surgeon then they will pay for surgery?
I had my pre-op appoinment with the surgeon the other day I have already been to surgical speciality place 2 other times and I found out this time the insurance company is reviewing my file I guess for surgery approval. I had no clue that yesterday was my pre-op to surgery. I came to office and found out that the approval for that perticular appoinment was not authorized yet and they were reviewing my case if they don't get authorization I have to pay for this appoinment. Do any of you guys see any problems with me geting my surgery payed for if I was already approved pervously to see a surgeon and the surgeon said I am a real good candidate for surgery. — sheri B. Unfortunately, this does not mean its a done deal. My insurance paid for
the appointment, but I had to wait for approval for surgery. Thankfully, it
went through fine. Have you contacted them to find out exactly what you
need to know- any exclusions? What they require? I would definitely do so
to put your mind at ease...Good luck to you!
