Question:
Is there anyone!!!

out there who has my stats (5'3" 227) and has little to no comorbs and had surgery with complications and ended up with more comorb's than before you had surgery? (if that made any sense). I guess I am wondering if there is anyone who is just MO and became worse than before surgery? Thanks a bunch!!!    — chatterbox213704 (posted on September 24, 2002)

Hi, I don't really want to bum you out, but I'm now 6 months post-op from open RNY and I have had CONSTANT severe chronic pain in my low back and mid abdomen since about 3 weeks after surgery. None of my doctors can find what's wrong, and I'm scheduled for another surgery next week. Even though I've lost 112 lbs already, I still can't say I'm happy I did this. I feel like crap ALL the time, and I'm so tired of going to doctors and being poked and prodded. It's all there in my profile, if you are interested. I know of a few others on this board who've had problems. Once person I can think of is Rebecca Perkins. She has had a terrible ulcer for many months now.
