Question:
Would I recomend this site?
I was told of Obesityhelp.com by someone I met who had gastric bypass surgery and raved about this site for info, support and research. She was right in raving about it and I am hooked. I have been researching Weight Loss Surgery for 3 months and have tried many different sites including this one....I keep coming back here over and over again and to other sites less and less. This site is extremely easy to get around on and is very well designed, first of all. Whoever designed it did a wonderful job. I have found other sites so frustrating and they seem to run you around in circle! I have made it my "home page". Second of all, the support and friendship is amazing and touching. The first time I posted on the bulletin board, I received so many responses from caring, helpful people that it just blew me away. I have found a huge amount of information here that I can't find anywhere else. Anyway, I just wanted to say to anyone who is considering joining AMOS that you will love it here...it is home. I wouldn't have had the courage to have this surgery done if it wasn't for
the info and support I got from this site. I guess you could say that I
have them to thank for giving me back my life! - Mike

DITTO!!! It has been over 2 years since both my husband and I had our WLS
and I was on this site night and day for 6 months prior to that. I found
so much info and support that I couldn't find anywhere else. There was
even a lady who came to visit me the day of my surgery at the hospital. I
don't know if she comes here anymore, but if she does, I'll never forget
the kindness that you showed to both my husband and I that day, Carin. And
then there is Michelle Curran who has been a lifesaver to me with helping
me understand the different levels from my bloodwork as well as providing
fairly priced products that aren't available to me around our area. I was
just telling my husband that we need to order a large supply of the SF
Divinci flavored syrups to last through the winter. While the freeze
restrictions are on, they can't ship to the Frozen North (Northern
Michigan) where we live. Thanks again, Michelle.

Carol, you are so right. I, too, spent hours upon hours fascinated with
the before and after pictures and all the profiles while waiting for own
surgery. Even after almost 8 months post-op, I still visit this site,
almost daily. I have made so many wonderful friends thru this site, and
have learned information about my surgery that I would not have found or
trusted from other locations.
