Question:
WHAT IS CAUSING THIS BELLY BUTTON....
PAIN? I AM 20 DAYS POST OP AND IT HURTS ON THE INSIDE SO BAD. NO I HAVE NOT LIFTED ANYTHING OR ANOTHING. IT JUST FEELS LIKE SOMETHING ON THE INSIDE IS PULLING ON IT. COULD IT BE THAT THE INCISION IS HEALING ON THE INSIDE? — Gale G. (posted on September 23, 2002)

Good Morning Gale
I have always been told that wounds heal from the inside out,I have had
other stomach surgeries, and there was alot of tenderness for a couple
months.
If it is really uncomfortable for you be sure to call the Doctor. My Doctor
said no lifting of anything over 5 pounds for 6 weeks, so it is a good
thing you are not lifting.
Congratulations Gale on your new journey, it really is a great one,
something new everyday to look forward to.
Hugs

heck for the first few weeks...it does go away...everyone heals at a
different pace...welcome to the otherside!

Check with your doctor. You may have developed an umbilical hernia. I had
one. It was very painful. Got it taken care of and now I think I have
another one on the other side of the belly button. No big deal to have
fixed up.
