Clotrimizole works for me. YOu can get it as a vaginal cream for yeast
infections or for athletes foot(!). the best I have found is a "
3day" cure for yeast infection that has 2% clotrimizole instead of 1%
which all the others are. The 2% costs more but really works faster. I have
found the 2% at Walgreens and I think there is a mainstream brand that
carries it, but I dont remember which one. sorry. good luck

Get thee to a Dr.! Reason is that she can prescribe something that really
works but more importantly document and continue to document that rash so
that you can get insurance to cover your tummy tuck or abdominoplasty. I
began pre-op documenting any rash from this panne and will continue to do
so. My best to you.

Hi, I had a horrible one about a month ago and had to get three different
prescriptions. Finally, my pcp wrote me a script for clotrimazole and
betamethasone dipropionate cream (what a mouthful) and it worked. Gave me
instant relief. He also told me to go to Rite-aid and ask the pharmacist
for Zeasorb-AF, an antifungal powder that will really keep the area dry.
It is unbelievable. It is not prescription but they keep it in the
pharmacy dept. Costs about $7 and has a pleasant smell. Don't use
cornstarch talc on it because the fungus/yeast or whatever it is will
thrive on the starch. Good luck. I feel for you and understand the misery
this can cause.

The cure for your problem is called LORTISONE. You can only get it by
prescription, but it is a miracle! I suffered from these rashes for YEARS
and was always in misery. Finally a doctor prescribed this cream and it
works within hours. NO KIDDING! If you put it on before you go to bed, it
will be half gone by morning. I am not exaggerating. Good Luck To you!

Gale, Dr. documentation is very important if you think you might want a
tummy tuck later on. BUT, to avoid one altogether, when I put my
deodorient under my arms in the morning, I also put it under my panni and
in my belly button. I started doing this waaaay before my WLS, it seemed
to work then and is still doing it's job now. I have a friend that uses
Noxema in the same places & swears by it too.

Gale, if you look at my answer that big name that I quoted from my tube of
medicine is the generic form of Lortisone and yes, it does work. My doc
said to use it sparingly because apparently it is a steroid. I only use it
when I have an "eruption". I use the over the counter creams and
the zeasorb-af powder to keep an "eruption" from happening. Yes,
keep documentation of this for a future panniculectomy (insurance
documentation) so that is a good reason to get to a doc and have the
prescription written. Make sure she/he documents your rash. You will be
glad you did later when the insurance company is hounding you for
documentation. Good luck!

The foods you eat may be causing the rashes. Atkins has a chapter on it in
his diet book-- not that I in anyway recommend Atkins. But I find
generally when I get the rashes it's either hormonal or it's after eating
one of the listed foods. Off the top of my head the main culprits were
sugar, mushrooms, and vinagar (which includes oil and vinagar salad
dressings, pickles, etc) There are probably others but I don't remember
what.
Generally I just use gold bond powder, then I scrub the area in the shower
and have also had luck with neosporin and antiperspirant
