Question:
Does anyone cry at the...
drop of a hat? I can be sitting talking to my hubby or daughter and all of a sudden the tears start to flow hard. Its like a water tap, say one little wrong thing and water is everywhere. — Gale G. (posted on September 20, 2002)

gale, it is totally normally as a new post-op to experience the flood of
emotions that you are going thru. The recovery from surgery alone will do
it, but we then add the rapid release of hormones that we experience
post-op, and we all know what those hormones do to us! You'll be fine.
Just takes time...

I am now 5 months post op and have been experiencing the same thing for
about a month now. The doc says it is my hormones and my body is still
going through so many changes. Just keep the puffs by me and I will be
happy.

Oh girlfriend I know exactly what you are talking about. I cried at
everything starting at about 1-2 months, I even cried watching an old Leave
it to Beaver show LOL.
Our bodies have gone through so much, and with the fast lose of fat cells,
it makes our hormones go beserk.
Plus think of all the tension we went through just to get to the point of
being able to have surgery.
It will pass Gale, I thought I was the only one at 1st until everyone in my
support group said they had gone through the same thing.

Gale, I just checked your surgery date 9/4, so you are like 2 1/2 wks out,
I was the same way at that point...I kept saying to my husband "I
think dtr leitman did something to my eye ducts", I am so
emotional...I would cry over a puppy on tv, I would cry when my husband
said something, it was WEIRD...It did go away, this happened for about a
week. I think it has something to do with all the emotions involved in the
surgery and the wearing off of the ansthesia. Good Luck.
