Question:
Not losing
I only lost 6 lbs. this month. 8 pounds last month. I am 3 months post op. I think I may be the one who this doesn't work very well for. I cry about it all the time. I don't feel like I can eat any less. I'm handicapped, so I cannot exercise. I am housebound, so I just sit and "stew" about it all the time. I'm so unhappy. — Georgia H. How much have you lost total, Georgia? I lost about 30 pounds my first
month, then only 10 pounds since. I am 3 1/2 months post-op now. I have not
been able to exercise much as well, due to chronic daily headaches for the
past 6 months. I'm sorry you are so upset, it's very understandable but
don't give up. Did you ever think that maybe you aren't eating enough?
Strange as it seems, I know that I don't eat enough lately. We are in the
honeymoon phase where the more we eat, usually the better weight loss we
will get. I mean eat small meals 5 or 6 times a day. Increase your protein
and drink lots of water, see if that helps. Goodluck to you, I wish you the
very best!

Hi. Some people really do lose very slowly, but it does come off over time.
Don't be discouraged, ask your doctor what he/she suggests.
...with God all things are possible Matt 19:26
I never thought I would have any sucess even with surgery. Although my
weight loss isn't fast, I'm getting there. You will too.

Georgia, Georgia, Georgia!!! Don't get discouraged, I, too, was a slow
loser at first. I really believe that on some people it just takes a while
to start coming off. I think that's why I wasn't able to be successful
with any diets because they did not work for the first 3 months for me, and
I beacame discouraged and gave up. I had surgery on 9/27/01, and when I
went to see my Dr. on Dec. 15th of 2001, I had only lost about 20 lbs. I
was so down, and frankly the Dr. was not thrilled, but after about 4 1/2
months it started coming off a lot better/ My 1 year anniversay will be
9/27/02 and I am only 7 lbs from my goal! I will be praying for you, just
remember, don't lose heart, because I also thought I would be the one it
did not work for, but IT WILL WORK!!!! Just hang in there/ Patti Meadows

Georgia, I tried to find out more about you but your profile is sparse.
What is your handicap, why are you housebound. DEPRESSION IS OUR ENEMY, we
must get it under control to have the energy to improve our lives. You need
therapuetic intervention and perhaps antidepressants. Please let us know
what you are doing. By the way, you weight loss is excellent for someone
who can't exercise.

I saw something on qvc or hsn the other day it is a way to exercise even if
you are in a wheel chair or have other disabilities. I hope this helps.
