Question:
What information should I take with me when I request a referall from my PCP

I have an appointment with my PCP on 9-18-02, I am nervous about requesting a referall for my WLS, is there any advice from anyone or any information that I should write up that will help me on that day?    — Melody M. (posted on September 12, 2002)

Hi Melody, I was also nervous when I went to my PCP. What I did was I already had an appointment with the gastric bypass surgeon so I told my PCP I was going to him because he was an Obesity specialist and I needed to weigh all my options. I never mentioned surgery and I got my referral no problem. Good luck!
