Question:
Is there anything better than Slim Fast out there?

I'll start off by thanking everyone who posted or E-mailed me about the boyfriend question I asked last week. It was facinating to read your stories...what a great support network :) This question is much less complex...I've been doing the Slim Fast thing for about 2 months and I've lost nearly 20 lbs...I'm trying to lose as much weight pre-op as I can. The thing is I'm really starting to get sick of the shakes! The meal bars aren't bad...I've tried all the shakes and the only one I can sort of tolerate is the milk chocolate. It's gross but it does work. I'm sure a different brand would do the same trick...I hate it when's it going down but I love that it fills me up for most of the day. Nestles makes a product called Sweet Success. I think it's still being made. Anyway, I found that they were better than Slim Fast. But to be honest, I'm not crazy about any of that stuff. If you want an awesome weight loss plan with lots of support, join TOPS. I'm not sure if they have one where you live, but I use to go. The people there were so helpful. They taught me how to cook food that was really good and lowfat. For example, they made a squash dinner thing and it was great. Anyway, just thank God that you won't need to swallow another Slim Fast drink for as long as you live after surgery. Good Luck.

Almost anything would be better than slimfast nutritionally.. why not try some protein shakes? You'll need them after surgery anyway.. you can get samples at some places (stores) but you can also get them online at vita lady.. I'm so glad I got some samples pre op.. it really helped me...
