I like Carb Solutions (about $9.00/can at Wal-Mart). I buy the chocolate and add a teaspoon of low fat peanut butter.

I agree with the carb solutions chocolate from walmart. Try adding a little bit of cool whip fat free to your protein shake. I think it makes it taste much better. Good luck.{{{HUGS}}}

I like "Just Whey" by Sport Pharma. It has no lactose, no no aspartame, and only 1GM carbs per serving. I order it online from DPS nutrition. (www.dpsnutrition.com). They are one of the cheapest outlets for supplements, etc. I've found them to be extremely reliable.

The trouble for me was finding one that had a taste I could enjoy or at the very least, tolerate. I have narrowed it down to only one that I can drink every day and not begin to gag on after a few days. I drink ProBlend 55 Swiss Chocolate flavor. I buy it at GNC for $32.00 a container. A container lasts me one month if I drink one shake a day. The container directions say use 2 scoops with 8oz milk or water for 52g protein so I cut this in half, use 1 scoop with 4oz water for 27g protein and get the rest of my daily protein from food sources. This makes my container last for 30 days. That's about $1 per day, which I find affordable. And the flavor of the chocolate is great! I drink one on the way to work or school every morning. For taste and value I think it's a good deal. Also, you can find this brand cheaper online. Just do a search for ProBlend 55 in any search engine and you'll get dozens of online marketers selling it at a variety of prices. Good Luck finding one that's right for you!

I agree with ProBlend 55. I'm almost 18 post-op & have used it from the beginning. My fav is Strawberry Twist. I haven't been using it for the pass 4 months, but I just went yesterday & picked up a container. I've noticed that since I haven't been drinking it my weight loss has been at a standstill.I also use 1sc but to 8 ounces of water. Sometimes I throw in some friut or yogurt for a smoothie. I tried carbsolutions but to me it was to thick & chalky. I buy it at a local health food store for $25.00. It usually last 1 month if I have 1 shake a day. Good luck

Hi there :) I know GNC isn't the least expensive place on earth, but it does offer some pretty good deals if you are willing to bargain with them. I walked into my local GNC and basically told them that they were looking at a long term customer, and I expect a deal. They gave me one of those huge jugs of Isopure powder (dutch chocolate is pretty good) for $40 ($10 off reg. price). He said he'd give me the same deal from now on, plus other stuff at discount. Give it a try :)

Depends on what you consider a fortune! I bought a huge cannister of the Isopure zero carb vanilla powder at Vitamin Shoppes-round $36.00 if I can recall. The first few months I had a shake a day (1 scoop), from 3 months on, I have 3 or 4 shakes a week-and I still have 1/4 of the cannister left!

I love Trader Joe's Chocolate Whey Protein powder! A one pound can costs $7.99. A WLS buddy taught me to blend one scoop with 1 cup of skim milk, some decaf coffee and ice cubes. Tastes like a frappucino!
