Question:
Rides at Walt Disney World Florida
I am going to go on a trip with my churchs youth group to walt disney world. I am wondering about the seating for the ride space mountain. I have not been on it since high school and cannot remember how the seating was. I am six months out from RNY and have lost 91 pounds. I carry most of my weight in my butt and legs and still weigh 271. Can anyone help me with this question. I would hate to go on the ride and then not be able to fit. Thank you!!! — Tammy M. I just got back from Florida. I spent alot of my time at sea world and at
universal studio's. Most of the attractions had a seat on the outside of
the line that said try it, so that way you would know. I don't know about
Walt Disney though. Have fun Annette

You shouldn't have any trouble. I've been to Disney weighing as much as
350 lbs. I carry my weight on my stomach not in my butt. They changed the
seating also for Space Mountain. Its now two individual seats in each
rocket and a bar for each that locks down. The bar locks at wherever it
meets you stomach. I haven't had any problems with Disney's attractions,
although I haven't been in a couple years and I know there are some new
ones. Hope this helped.

Hi Tammy, I went to Disney about 8 years ago, I was about 250lbs then (
***HUGE SIGH***, because I am MUCH bigger now) and fit fine on all the
rides, including space mountain. Have a good time on your trip!

Tammy,
I have been to Walt Disney at both my highest weight and my lowest...
and have fit comfortable in space mountain.. (I too was worried) but
if you go to Universal?? Watch out for the Hulk?? I was squeezed into
that one last time by TWO attendants... the bar goes over your shoulders
and straps with a buckle between your legs! I am determine one day
to go back on that ride and fit comfortable!!

not fit on Space mountain. I had never been on it. I weigh 291 and fit just
fine. My husband also went on it and he weighs about 320. Congrats on your
weight lose. another 20 hours and I will be on the other side. :)

Hi Tammy! You will have no problem at all. I have been to DisneyWorld 10
times the past 5 years and my highest weight was 330 lbs. I am headed down
there in 31 days yet again! I had surgery 7/18 and am down to 220 from 255!
Enjoy yourself and drink plenty of water!!!
