Question:
Does anyone have BCBS EPO (Empire)insurance? Do they approve WLS?

I have Empire Bc/Bs and they cover 100% of the cost minus my deductible which was 99 dollars. You have to make sure the Dr your seen is IN Network, otherwise they pay 50% of the cost. Good Luck... I had my surgery 14 months ago and had a Hernia repair since that was covered also.

I have Empire..they paid 100%..but a real pain in the ass cause they reject claims until you call them to manually enter them...

i had my surgery 2/27/02 and the hospital was covered 100%, the surgeon/anesthesia etc, 90% plus i got a little refund from the docs back, cause i had met out of pocket maximum. i found out who my case manager was and called her every other day preop. when i was approved, she called ME before she even notified the drs. office! we became phone buddies. they were pretty quick after they got all the info. i just had to intervene to get all the info they wanted that the dr did not include. good luck. patsy in las vegas
