I would call your surgeon. When anyone's legs hurt I'm always thinking blood clot. It probally is'nt, but if it is you don't want to fool with it.

I had the same problem at about 2 weeks, it was the strangest feeling, I would take a nice hot bath before bedtime and it seemed to help, and it did go away in a couple of weeks. But if it is more painful than just irritating, call your surgeon ASAP

You might want to go to your doctor and let them check your lab work. Whenever my legs start to ache, I know that my potassium is low.

Three questions? Are you taking your multivitamin? Are you getting in enough water? Taking calcium (citrate if you are RNY)? Those are some common causes of leg cramps. Lite salt, orange juice, and bananas are all good potassium sources. TwinLabs makes a chewable calcium citrate wafer. I would say this early out you SHOULD ask your dr but those three things may help. Good luck!

VERY IMPORTANT....you must take your vitamins. A sublingual B12 is VERY important. If you are low on B12 that will cause leg pain. Also, if your potassium is low that is a problem. You can get in some potassium without sugar with Gatorade fitness water, or Rebok fitness water. Take Care

I agree with Daniel. It's probably a vitamin-related problem, but I think it would be best to see your doctor ASAP, just in case it is deep vein thrombosis or something else very serious.

If by 'ache' you mean 'restless' - I hear you! When I lay in bed at night sometimes my legs are SO restless... it is usually following a day or two of me not getting in my usual amount of calcium citrate. So I'd try that... but also talk to you doctor, as always.
