Question:
Did anyone have blurry vision pre-op?
I have been wearing glasses since I was 12 and contacts since I was 18. (I usually wear contacts more but glasses to give my eyes a break ocassionally). My vision seems to be changing very rapidly. I went to my yearly eye exam in April and my vision changed quite a bit. But now 3 months later and everything seems really blurry again. Is it possible that this is another co-morbid condition? I think I may have seen it on someone's profile but I can't recall. Anyone else have this problem? And if so did your vision improve post op? — mzcath (posted on July 7, 2002)

Have you ever been tested for diabetes? Check it out. Your eyes and your
feet are both victims.

I have type II diabetes. When my blood sugar gets too high, I have blurry
vision. When it in control, my eyes are good again. Maybe you should be
tested for it too. It is very common among the MO.

I am still pre-op...I was experiencing blurred vision last Sep. Went to my
Eye DR. and then to ER DR. I was suffering from PSEUDO TUMOR CERERBI. That
is when your body is making too much spinal fluid causing the fluid to
press onto your optioc nerves(behind your eyes). Please have this double
checked!

I just went to the eye doctor and the vision in my right eye has improved
dramatically!! Basically, I'm as blind as a bat. Before surgery, the
vision in my right eye was -7.25 and it's now -6.00. My left eye is the
same.
