Question:
HELP! Staples pulling close to incision

My staples are pulling at my skin and are nearing dangerously close to pulling through my staple line! How can I stop this from happening?? (6 days post op!)    — Kelley F. (posted on June 17, 2002)

Congrats on your surgery!!! If at anytime you feel uncomfortable just call your surgeon. He can let you know if there is anything wrong. The same deal happened with me, and my surgeon told me it was normal. What happened is that a hole open up on it's own to drain dead fatty tissue-the same might happen to you too. GOOD LUCK!!! ~~~3 weeks post-op...down 25 lbs~~~

I agree you need to contact your surgeon. I would also suggest you wearing a binder.
