Question:
What do we take post-op for general headache pain?
I have prescription Roxicet, which I took immediately post-op. However, it made me way too drowsy and gave me vivid dreams. — ZaZa F. (posted on May 31, 2002)

Tylenol is safe, even after WLS. If this doesn't work, you may need to
explore stronger options with your neurologist, i.e. Zomig or Immitrex (if
you are suffering from migraines) or a mild narcotic if you just get really
bad headaches.

I had surgery a little over three weeks ago and for head aches my Dr told
me to take Tylenol X strength.I take 2 and feel great in just a short
while.

i could not swallow the large extra strength tylenol pills, so i got
childrens chewable tylenol. i think the adult dose was 4 pills. not
delicious but tolerable. they used to make a liquid adult tylenol too, but
i couldn't find it at the time. it may contain alcohol, too so check the
label. i also use ice packs on my head for severe headaches, which luckily
i dont get very often. patsy in las vegas

I got the Extra Strength Liquid Tylenol - it seems to work rather quickly.
It is hard to find though -- I had to order it through the pharmacy I work
at. Check with the pharmacist @ your local pharmacy...maybe they have it
in the pharmacy or they can order it for you.

visit my profile page by clicking on my name (underlined) and I have a list
of medications that aren't allowed no more over the counter and a list of
meds you are allowed to take now.
Good luck to you.
