Question:
Doctor's charges for Open RNY vs Lap RNY ?

This question is for those of you out there in Georgia. I need to know the difference in cost of these two procedures, specifically what the doctor charged. I'm not sure if I'm the best person to help you with this, but I noticed nobody else had posted. I had the lap RNY on May 15th. I got a bill from Atlanta Medical Center for $50k!!! Luckily my insurance company will be paying for this (Cigna HMO), but I was astounded at the amount.
