Question:
Did anyone else have to go home on oxygen?
I am four days post-op and the Dr. sent me home on oxygen. Anyone else have to do this? How long were you on it? How can they tell you're ready to go off? — Pamela D. (posted on May 25, 2002)

Hi! I had to go home on oxygen also. I was on it for a week,if I am
remembering correctly. I had to see the pulmonologist to determine if I was
ready to go off it or not. Best of luck ! Feel free to email if you have
more questions!

I didn't have to come home oxygen but I almost did. My oxygen level in the
hospital was pretty low. I think it is because I was a smoker. Had my
last cig the day before surgery on 4/4. Haven't had a cig since. That
oxygen level in the hospital scared me enough so I won't go back to
smoking.
