Question:
I may need Gall Bladder Surgery
It seems as though, in the beginning of my required 6 month dr supervised attempts, that I have symptoms of gall bladder problems... I understand that they check for that right before surgery and many times remove it during surgery... The pain that I have been experiencing is excrutiating... So, if in fact it IS my gallbladder, chances are very good that they will want to remove it... What do you think the likely hood of my insurance company waiving the remainder of the 6 months crap to have both surgeries done at the same time providing i pass all the pre-op stuff... any opinions???? — Angela G. I have just experienced my first gall bladder "attack". I have
lost 55 pounds in the 9 weeks since my surgery. I experienced pain right
in the middle of my upper abdomen that came in intese waves - but never
really went away. After a while the pain expanded around to both sides of
my back. This was like pain I have NEVER experienced before. (WLS,
C-Section and broken bones included.)I ended up in the ER and needed
morphine to bring the pain down. My gall bladder will have to come out -
but not until I can get a tummy tuck at the same time. I will find a way
to wait.

I had my gall bladder removed 8 weeks after my c-section. I literally
thought I was dying. The pain was like nothing I had ever felt before and
if it is your gall bladder and there are stones in it you will feel pain
again and again until it is removed. I am not sure what the insurance
company will do, but anything is worth a try. If you go into emergency
with the pain from the gall bladder and they tell you that it needs to be
removed right away go for it. Good Luck.

Thank you for your responses. I go in for an ultra sound next week.. I
guess i will just have to plead my case. (for the insurance to wave the 6
month thing)
