Question:
INFO ON PSYCH EVAL. TIME
I was wondering what the length of time between the psych evaluation and the results being sent to the surgeons office was? My psychologists office said 3 to 4 weeks, I find this hard to beleive, might he just be on vacation? — Kate D. (posted on May 15, 2002)

I'm guessing that this differs with each psychologist/psychiatrist. Mine
told me up front that she's really busy but that she would get to it the
next week. The week after THAT I had another appointment and she assured
me it would get faxed to my surgeon the following week. That would have
been this past Monday - just over 3 weeks after my initial psych
consultation. I'm not worrying about it because I haven't gotten my
approval yet to even have the surgery so it isn't like she is holding
things up. If waiting for this is delaying your surgery, you might mention
that to your psychologist to see if he could speed things up a bit for you
this once. Good luck!

My psych said 3 weeks too (to get back the results from the MMPI test), and
it did take that long. They have to mail them to Michigan or something,
and then wait for them to review it and send back results. The waiting is
the worst!!
