Julie: I would love to go to Dr. Champion, but he is not on my insurance!
Darn. I am on waiting list for Dr. Dennis Smith, but I understand there
are about 400 of us on the waiting list. I guess God is teaching me
patience. Thanks for your answer.

Dr. Dennis Smith performed my surgery 4/1. As of 5/1 he has gone out on
his own and is only performing bariatric surgery now so he should be
performing more than before. I found him an excellent doctor, well worth
waiting for Whomever you choose, just be sure you feel confident in them
and check the credentials. Good luck to you.

Mary, Dr. Champion was not on my insurance list either. However, I wrote
an extensive letter explaining my reasonings for choosing Dr. Champion to
my insurance company. They approved to pay Dr. Champion as an
"in-network" doctor after the letter. I will be happy to send
you a copy of the letter. It never hurts to try.

Dr. Miller and Dr. Duncan are partners at Peachtree surgical. I have not
met them yet, my appt. is 6/20, but I have heard alot of great things about
them. However, Dr. Miller is about to go on maternity leave, if she hasn't
already.

Dr. Miller is in Atlanta. Many of us have been to her. She and her partner
do their durgeries together, as a team. The only ones that do that. Her
partner, Dr. Duncan teaches with Dr. Champion and they do alot of other
work together as well. I loved my experience. I am 8 months out, about 150
pds. lighter and no problems at all. Oh, and Dr. Duncan and Miller have
NEVER lost a single patient. NO ON IN ATLANTA CAN MATCH THAT---i checked!
