Question:
Is it normal to eat somethin that may have more fat than normal and throw it up?
If i eat somethin like beef stew..somthin that has more fat than normal its like 20 min later i throw up just like jelly stuff. Its like the fatning part of the meal is that normal? — Amanda G. (posted on April 28, 2002)

I think that you are throwing up mucus. Hey is that low fat Beef stew?;)
You digest the fat it upsets your system and then we puke. Don't eat stuff
that makes you puke!!!! Good Luck

Im 4.5 months post op with an open rny. I dump terribly with fat foods.
Sugar surprisingly enough doesnt bother me to bad, but i only eat it rarely
and in very small portions. But foods that are high in protein, like meats
that are high fat, like bacon, sausage, pepperoni, these sorts of foods
cause me to dump. I throw up when i dump, not the diarhea i heard so much
about. So we are all different, but i hope this helps.
