Question:
Is there a flavorless, odorless protein powder that can be mixed with food?
Also, I went to a weight loss clinic once and they had a powdered protein drink that was like chicken bouillion, you drank it hot. Anyone out there found one like that? — tinyjo (posted on April 27, 2002)

If you go to GNC they have an unflavored or vanilla protein powder that you
can mix with food or make smoothies with. I've tried it in mashed potatoes
and in smoothies and it wasn't bad. As for my regular protein drink, I
recommend Isopure. You can also purchase that at GNC. It comes in 20
ounce bottles and has 40 grams of protein in each bottle. Tastes a little
bit like crystal light and comes in many different flavors. Hope this
helps you somewhat. Good luck to you. Sharon Robinson

Yes, ProCel and UpCalD are both flavorless (nearly) and almost without
texture. 6 tiny scoops = 30g protein of either. The UPCAl D also include
calcium citrate & vit D along with the protein.

There is one called Casec. I've seen it on the net. It is tasteless and
textureless. It can be added to anything. I haven't tried it because I
enjoy my protein drinks. If I remember correctly it is about $15 a can,
and I'm not sure how big the can is.

Found it. 10 oz. can. 1/2 cup provides 34 gr. protein. Not a good value
in my book. You would probably go through an entire can in 3 days. But
thats my guess. It's made by Meade Johnson.

I'm with Michelle on this one -- ProCel is the BEST thing I've found for
helping me get my protein in each day. I use it in my shakes (and have
started creating some really tasty ones instead of the liquid chalk I was
gagging down before!) and in a lot of my cooking. I've added it to
spaghetti sauce, chili, and mashed potatoes and no other family members
have noticed (that includes 2 kids and they're the worst critics of
anything new or "different"). I add the UpCalD to the ProCel
when I'm mixing it in a drink but haven't put that in my cooking yet.

I use Promod protein powder by Ross Labs. One can cost $6.00 at the
hospital where I had surgery. One can lasts a month and I use at least 2
scoops every day. I use it it yogurt, soups and nutrition shakes. It is
odorless, tasteless and does not clump when heated. One scoop is 5 gms of
protein. Taalk to your ddieticiaan. Good Luck

I know what you are talking about; I am not much into sugary tasting
drinks. I went through the HMR program years ago and only drank their
chicken soup for a year! Here is a link for you to get ordering information
from them. http://www.yourbetterhealth.com/foods.html

I tried the Anyway product but it smelled and tasted like vanilla to me. I
found a new product called BiPro that works great. You can get it at
www.biprousa.com. It has no taste or odor and mixes great into everything
I've tried. No fat, carbs or lactose which is also good. You can bake with
it and the website has recipes. The 2 pound jar has 41 servings and each
serving has 20 grams of protein so it lasts quite awhile. I think its a
good value.
