Has anyone heard of the SMAM-1 virus re gaining weight

Hi, When I was at the appointment to get approved to begin the process,the doctor remarked about how low my cholesterol was and that sometimes this is a marker that shows the possibility of a virus being the cause of obesity. Wow, what an interesting article. Wouldn't that be wonderful if it were just a virus that they could find a vaccine for? Although the article does bring out a good point: if it is contagious, obese people would likely be shunned even more than they already are. Thanks so much for the link!
